Major/Essential Functions

Teach existing undergraduate and graduate courses, develop new courses
Build a strong research program in Electrical and Computer Engineering related endeavors, including securing external funding and generating archival publications in the area of solar energy with emphasis on photovoltaics (material and device development)

Required Qualifications

An earned doctorate in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a field closely related to the search is required.
The successful candidate is expected to teach exis ng undergraduate and graduate courses and develop new courses.
Candidates are expected to build a research infrastructure that leads to extramural funding,scholarly publica ons, collabora ons, and the training of students or other related fields to complement exis ng research ac vity in the Department. Candidates who have very strong records of scholarship supported by extramural funding and who have the proven capacity or clear poten al to bring externally sponsored research to Texas Tech University are encouraged to apply.
Service to the Department, College, and University is expected. Experience working with diverse student popula ons and first-genera on students is highly desirable

Preferred Qualifications

Experience and strong background in solar energy. This position will collaborate with the National Wind Institute (NWI) at Texas Tech University.
