Assistant/Associate/Full Teaching Professor - Electrical and Computer Engineering - Seattle

About the Opportunity

Northeastern University, Seattle Campus is seeking outstanding individuals to fill a non-Tenure-Track faculty positions at the rank of assistant, associate, or full teaching professor with the focus in the general areas of Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and computer architecture to be appointed in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE).

The main responsibility of the non-Tenure-Track teaching faculty is high quality, student-centered teaching, including course preparation, delivery, and assessment. The annual course responsibility is six courses.

Course assignments are primarily at the graduate level within area of primary expertise of the candidate that will including computer engineering, computer programming, algorithm design, machine learning, computer architecture, security, and computer vision. In addition to teaching, the position may require industry outreach to support experiential components of degree program curriculum. Teaching Professors are also given the opportunity to participate in department, university, and professional service activities as well as be engaged in modest levels of research activities, for their own professional development. Overall, workload will be adjusted according to the overall teaching and other responsibilities assumed by the candidates.

Ph.D. required in Computer and/or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field by the appointment start date. Excellent written and oral communication skills and evidence of teaching effectiveness is expected. Industrial experience is desirable along with familiarity with latest electronic teaching tools and experiential e-learning.

The expected hiring range for Assistant Professor is USD $105,300 to USD $134,200, based upon the position's scope and responsibilities. The expected hiring range for Associate Professor is USD $105,600 to USD $176,400, based upon the position's scope and responsibilities. The expected hiring range for Full Professor is USD $142,800 to USD $247,500, based upon the position's scope and responsibilities.
